About

They say Kirk Anderson is a nice Minnesota boy who draws pictures that aren’t too bad. He grew up in Wisconsin, but don’t hold that against him; it really wasn’t his decision, and he feels just awful about it. He has lived in St. Paul for the past 25 years, and kept his head down.

Kirk is a cartoonist, writer, illustrator, animator and graphic designer. Is he any good, yer askin’? Could be worse. His bio says “He is the former award-winning political cartoonist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, and his sprawling quarter-page cartoons appeared weekly in the Minneapolis Star Tribune…” Award-winning? Sprawling, quarter-page cartoons? Sounds like he thinks he’s somethin’ special, Mr. Sprawling Fancy Pants, maybe he should just go back there to Wisconsin if ya don’t mind my sayin’. It just keeps goin’: “Kirk’s work has also appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek International, Los Angeles Times, Forbes.com, The Onion, and hundreds of other publications.” Oh yah, hundreds of other publications, wouldja listen to that one. That’s a lotta shootin’ off his pie-hole right there for a so-called Minnesotan. Shouldn't  surprise anyone that he came from out east there.  Doesn’t he have a mother to do his braggin’ for him? So maybe that’s his problem then.

Don’t get me wrong, he seems like a nice enough fella. He can snow shovel the hell out of a sidewalk, I’ll give him that much. But for criminy sakes out loud, would it really kill him to show up at our church once in a while? I’m just sayin’.
